Back in February, I’ve promised Adrian a vanity shot…sometimes this year, as a birthday gift. And since this Friday we decided to take a stroll downtown before his upcoming departure to USA, I’ve taken my camera along. Here are a few shots from today.
Now, for the more tech-oriented readers, do note that all pictures where captured using a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II. With a price of €99,- it’s a steal and there’s no reason you shouldn’t have one in your bag. Once you get used to its rather smudgy background blur and learn to exploit flares in a creative way, you’ll love it. And, at smaller apertures, it’s tack sharp and I’ve used it successfully in studio shots. But more on this soon.
